Triumph by Michael Stanlake. Premiering his work at the Bandshell in the park was a fabulous experience and will always remind me of summer because of it.

In the middle of a heat wave... On reading "Notations" tonight, Leroy Anderson's 'Sleigh Ride' immediately came to mind.

@gordon Pirates of the Caribbean. I guess you can figure out why I chose that title.

"On The Trail", from Grofe's Grand Canyon Suite. Because, you know, the Grand Canyon is pretty hot!

Here is on oldie for you. "Themes Like Old Times". It is full of the tunes played in the town band shell on a summer evening almost a century ago.

•1812 Overture (okay, played when in BTTB under a joint summer concert with the HPO under the baton of Boris Brott - but this holds memories of fighting mosquitoes and ending with fireworks display)

                  •Battle Hymn of the Republic
                  •Bolero

The Sound of Music medley since it's a regular on our summer list (which is ironic as the movie usually plays at X-Mas)!

"Porgy and Bess". How could it miss with the song "Summer Time"?
