In honour of Canada Day, what is your favourite Canadian composition or song of all time?
-
Toss up between the immensely fun Fall Fair by Godfrey Ridout and the entire Lord of the Rings Triliogy score by Howard Shore.
-
Snake Fence Country, by Howard Cable
-
How can you choose just ONE Tragically Hip song? But if I had to, it would be 2000 Juno award winner "Bobcaygeon"
-
I'm not going to go high culture: the Bobby Gimby Canada song. A great song for a great year (1967, for the young 'uns).

I first played Godfrey Ridout’s Fall Fair decades ago and it has never left my head. I’ve played it a few times since but always the original orchestral version. Pleased to see now that the CMC has a concert band arrangement, we have to play it!

For pop tunes: Where Have All the Good People Gone? by Sam Roberts or One Week by BNL.
For band: I'm going to agree with Julian and Snake Fence Country (even though it is a very "American" sounding song). -
@gordon
Okay...I might be showing my age with this one. But Gordon Lightfoot has two songs that I cannot decide between. "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" and "If You Can Read My Mind "
