I really like your minutes. I'd like to note, though, that the ideas relating to a "Jazz Café", perhaps in 2026, are very preliminary, and in my case at least, just bluesky possibilities that would need to be thoroughly worked through to see if they would be appropriate.

@lisa-yl @Kamara I agree completely with Lisa on Ronald McDonald House vs local charities. They are a big charity with many donors. After we made a donation to Ronald McDonald House, they sent BCB begging letters just like the ones many of us probably receive from many charities, - i.e., "personalized" advertising mail, aka form letters. They probably had no idea we had a fund raising concert, we could have sent them a cheque in the mail and they would have treated BCB the same way.
I prefer local charities with reps who can speak about their cause at the concert. Many of the charities Kamara lists would do that.

I just want to make one reply as I'd like to discuss at the next meeting if there is time:
One comment was that band members don't need to use our forum often - however, if we put more content on the forum, it could be a nice way for members to connect - I wouldn't be opposed to having a Classified section/ allowing band members to advertise their services. As we don't ask profession on the intake, it may actually come in handy when we need services.

I think the collaboration ideas between DVO and BCB are a great idea.
